Who We Are

O'Donnell's is a family owned and operated accommodations and soft-adventure business located on the shores of the world famous Miramichi River in central New Brunswick, Canada. Beginning in 1991 with one cottage and 17 acres of riverfront property, Valerie O'Donnell and her husband Jackie have worked to build the business to what is now called O'Donnell's Cottages & Expeditions.

By 1995 two more cottages had been added, as well as several Old Town canoes, kayaks, tubes and bicycles to address the growing demands for eco-adventures. The 1999 purchase of Clearwater Hollow Expeditions - one of the largest providers of eco-tourism on the Miramichi - solidified O'Donnell's as a first class adventure provider. In 2000, a fourth cottage was added, this time a 3-bedroom unit.

Continuing to follow the demand of its customers, O'Donnell's added a new service building in 2004 which is the main office. It also houses public laundry facilities, a payphone, a pop machine, a kitchen and a dining/meeting room for special events and packages, as well as business meetings.

O'Donnell's most recent expansion has just been completed (Fall, 2008) with the addition of a building offering four kitchenette suites, a hot tub and sauna. In the short time this unit has been open to the public it has been in great demand.
