New for 2009 - Come Stay and Play in our River!
Parents are always looking for new adventures to take their kids on during their short summer vacation. It's difficult to find a balance between vacation and summer camp. But O'Donnell's has the perfect combination for both parents and kids.
In partnership with the Atlantic Salmon Museum and their incresingly popular "Come Play in Our River" summer ecology camp, we've developed a relaxing and fun week for the whole family.
The package includes 4 nights accommodations at O'Donnell's Cottages for the family, and a 4 1/2 day camp (8:30 - 3:00) at the nearby Atlantic Salmon Museum where the kids will learn hands-on various aspects of fishing including: river ecology, fly-tying, casting, water safety, canoeing and fishing instruction. Kids even participate in a canoe trip on the Miramichi River and an outing for fly fishing to practice their newly learned skills.
While the kids are at camp for the day, parents can enjoy some of the great outdoor activities offered on site at O'Donnell's or in the neighoring community, like canoeing or kayaking the Miramichi, hiking the riverside trails, or visiting the local museums. Or of course you could just relax on your riverside deck and enjoy the sound of nature.
