experience the beauty of the river and its valley, up close, for
those looking for something other than fishing. The
lesser known sports of canoeing, kayaking or tubing the
Miramichi River are fast becoming
a popular vacation adventures for O'Donnell's Cottages guests. |

spending a few relaxing hours slowly meandering along with the
gentle flow of the river. During your stay with us, spend
an afternoon taking in the natural beauty of the Miramichi River
and its surroundings. Stop along the shore for a lunch and
a swim and continue on at your own pace.
The journey of 3-4 hours back
to O'Donnell's offers a variety of water from slow, deep
pools, to faster low level rapids and quiet off-chutes.

"My
first canoe adventure - the perfect 51st birthday
gift. Along with the beautiful fall foliage,
historic sites, wildlife, comfy cottage and great
hospitality, couldn't have asked for a more
memorable holiday. Thanks."
- Kip from Presque Isle, ME.
"A
great place to canoe and spend the night! We
enjoyed canoeing the Miramichi and were amazed at
how clean it is. The meal of salmon and
fiddleheads at the lodge was wonderful and
delicious! Our stay was short but we thoroughly
enjoyed it. Great service &
hospitality."
